⚠️ Concrete Foundation & Structural Requirement
Automotive service lifts and heavy equipment must be installed on level, structural concrete meeting or exceeding Min. 4.0" slab thickness, 3,000 PSI compressive strength. Never install on asphalt, pavers, or uncured concrete slabs. Anchor bolts require a minimum 6-inch setback from expansion joints or slab perimeter edges.
🚚 Heavy Freight (LTL) Delivery Information
This heavy equipment unit ships crated via dedicated LTL Freight carrier (1,450 lbs). Complimentary shipment includes 24-hour advance phone delivery notification and appointment scheduling. Freight is delivered with hydraulic liftgate assistance where crate dimensions allow, or directly to your local regional freight terminal with fork-loading onto your open trailer or flatbed truck. Always thoroughly inspect crate banding and wooden packaging on delivery and note any visual marks on the delivery receipt prior to signing.

HYDRAULIC & ELECTRICAL POWER
Concrete Slab Engineering Specifications
A 2-post lift relies entirely on the structural tension and compression strength of your concrete slab. Verify the following parameters prior to delivery and anchoring:
Minimum Slab Thickness
Minimum 4.0 to 4.25 inches (102 mm) continuous poured slab.
Compressive Strength Rating
Minimum 3,000 PSI compressive strength cured for at least 28 days.
Anchor Bolt Torque & Embedment
Heavy-duty 3/4" × 5-1/2" wedge anchors included. Torqued to exactly 85–110 ft-lbs with minimum 3-1/4" embedment depth.
Edge & Expansion Joint Setback
Anchor holes must remain at least 6 inches (152 mm) away from any expansion joints, relief cuts, or slab edges.
Steel-Banded Shipping Crate
This lift ships enclosed on heavy structural timber runners with reinforced steel banding. Total crate weight: 1,850 to 2,450 lbs (depending on arm configuration).
Tier-1 Freight Carrier
Dispatched via certified national freight carriers (Estes Express, R+L Carriers, Old Dominion) with direct PRO bill of lading tracking provided upon warehouse exit.
Appointment Offloading
Carrier calls 24–48 hours ahead to schedule your delivery window. Select Free Terminal Pickup (forklift loaded onto your trailer) or Residential Curbside Delivery.
48-Hr Damage Protection
Inspect packaging at arrival. If any abrasion is found, note it on the receipt. LiftAxis guarantees 100% free expedited replacement parts or a complete new unit.
Engineered Systems & Capabilities
Every component is over-specced for absolute safety, structural rigidity, and commercial-grade durability.
Dual Direct-Drive Hydraulics
Low-pressure, high-volume cylinders engineered for smooth ascent and minimized seal wear under peak loads.
16-Stage Mechanical Locks
Spring-loaded mechanical safety lock blocks engaging every 3 inches, providing fail-safe mechanical fall arrest.
Asymmetric Telescoping Arms
3-stage telescoping swing arms with drop-in screw pads accommodate low sports cars and heavy commercial chassis.
Robotic Welded Steel Columns
Continuous robotic seam-welded Q345 structural steel with oversized baseplates engineered for zero lateral deflection.

ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS
Commercial Freight Delivery
Automotive lifts ship fully banded in heavy steel shipping crates (1,850 to 2,600 lbs). We partner directly with North American freight carriers to ensure reliable, damage-free transit.
Free Freight Terminal Pickup
Shipped to your nearest regional LTL dock (FedEx Freight, Old Dominion, R+L). The dock crew uses their forklift to load the crate directly onto your pickup or utility trailer at zero charge.
Residential Curbside Liftgate Option
Carrier arrives with an extended hydraulic liftgate trailer and lowers the crate directly to ground level at your driveway apron. The freight dispatcher calls 24 hours prior to confirm the window.
FREQUENTLY ASKED TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
Engineering-grade answers to foundation slab depth, ceiling clearance formulas, power unit hookups, and commercial LTL freight offloading protocols.
For standard two-post lifts rated between 7,000 and 10,000 lbs (such as our Apex-9BP and Pro-10X), your concrete floor must be a continuous pour of at least 4.0 inches (102 mm) with a compressive strength of at least 3,000 PSI, fully cured for a minimum of 28 days before drilling.
Heavy commercial units (12,000 to 15,000 lbs) require a 6.0-inch slab rated at 3,500 PSI. Standard 3/4" wedge anchors require a minimum embedment depth of 3.25 inches. Anchor bolts must maintain at least 6 inches of clearance from any expansion joint, saw-cut seam, or slab edge. Never install two-post anchors into cracked concrete or post-tension slabs without an engineering scan.
Yes, 100% freestanding. LiftAxis residential four-post storage lifts (including the Park-8S and Park-8XLT) are rigid boxed space-frame structures. Their oversized 12" × 12" structural baseplates and cross-tied runways distribute vehicle weight evenly across the concrete surface, achieving complete lateral stability under fully loaded vehicles without anchor bolts.
Every residential four-post lift package includes our heavy-duty polyurethane caster kit. When the lift is completely lowered and unloaded, simply lock the four caster arms into the columns to roll the entire lift into any bay of your workshop or garage. Anchor holes are pre-drilled in the baseplates should your local municipal code or commercial shop require permanent bolting.
Calculate your exact required ceiling clearance using the universal LiftAxis garage clearance formula:
Remember to measure to the lowest obstruction in your bay—including overhead garage door tracks, openers, rafters, and light fixtures. We recommend high-lift garage door track conversions and side-mount jackshaft openers to maximize vertical clearance.
Yes, for residential storage and scissor lifts. All LiftAxis residential four-post lifts (Park-8S, Park-8XLT, Stacker-7C) and our mobile scissor systems (MidRise-6XP, Mobile-6K) feature 110V electric-hydraulic power units that plug directly into any standard dedicated 15A or 20A household wall outlet with zero rewiring.
Commercial clearfloor two-post lifts (Pro-10X, Apex-12C, Titan-15C) require a 208–240V single-phase 30A dedicated circuit. This delivers the increased hydraulic motor horsepower needed for high-speed 45-second cycle times under maximum vehicle weight. All wiring diagrams and NEMA plug configurations are included in your pre-delivery packet.
Automotive lifts ship fully banded in heavy steel shipping crates (typically 1,800 to 2,600 lbs and 12 to 14 feet long). We provide two seamless offloading pathways:
For detailed crate dimensions and offloading tips, consult our Heavy Freight Delivery Guide.
The Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) conducts rigorous third-party laboratory verification to the national ANSI/ALI ALCTV standard. Certified lifts undergo structural destructive testing at 150% rated capacity, strict electrical ETL audits, and dual velocity fuse safety inspections.
Commercial car dealerships, municipal fleet garages, and franchised repair shops mandate ALI Gold Label certification for OSHA compliance and commercial liability insurance.
For private home collectors and enthusiast workshops, LiftAxis non-ALI certified models are built on the exact same robotic-welded Q235 structural steel production lines, utilizing identical cable systems, hydraulic safety locks, and powder-coated columns—delivering identical commercial durability at significant factory-direct savings.
